Atlantic City gambling establishments increased their profits in 2017 by 2.2%

The revenue side of the budget of the gambling industry located in Atlantic City, for the reporting period of 2017, was replenished by $ 2.6 billion. This amount exceeded the indicators of 2016 by 2.2%. Such data was told to the public by one of the representatives of the state gambling control department.

The growth in demand for gambling entertainment in Atlantic City has been observed over the past two years. An important role in this process is played by the online industry, the active promotion of which made it possible to replenish the accounts of local casinos in 2017 by $ 250 million, which increased the amount of deductions for 2016 by 25%.

According to the announced information received from an official of the state monitoring structure in the field of gambling business, last year for the first time since 2006 showed an increase in profits from gambling in casinos by 0.3%.

“Every operating casino in the city has increased profits since last year, as is clearly demonstrated by the factual record of every internet transaction,” said James Pluzis, a government official responsible for regulating casinos in New Jersey.

He also stressed that the overall growth in the number of winnings serves as another confirmation of the rightly chosen direction for the development of the online gambling industry in the region.

It should be recalled that at the end of last year, the leading operators of Atlantic City gambling clubs expressed optimistic forecasts regarding the revenue side of the industry in 2018.
