The Dream City casino project has been approved by the Cypriot authorities. The first gambling facilities will be launched this year. The site will become the largest European gambling zone.
The Cypriot authorities, having considered the project of the Chinese-Cypriot investors, united by the consortium CasinoResorts Cyprus, proposed a development spot in Limassol. The consortium plans to launch the main gambling complex by 2021.
Investors intend to build accompanying compact casinos in Paphos, Famagusta, Nicosia in 2018. This tactic will provide the project owners with a minimum payback period. The financial weight of the Dream City reaches € 500 million.
Designers, focusing on the 300 thousandth tourist traffic, have laid 1200 slot machines, 136 tables in City Of Dreams. Guests of the casino are offered to be accommodated in a 5-star hotel. Some of the visitors will be provided with luxury villas. The complex providing food for tourists consists of 11 restaurants and cafes.
For business meetings, the designers proposed to lay a conference hall that can accommodate 1,500 people. A separate section of the project is devoted to the architecture of the conference center, according to publications. The total area of trade establishments will exceed one thousand square meters. The area of the SPA-salon, which has absorbed the advantages of world analogues, reaches 4000 square meters.
The financial return of the gambling complex, the Cypriot authorities clarified, is expressed in annual € 800 million in budgetary contributions. A figure reaching 4% of Cyprus' GDP will reduce the seasonality of budget revenues.
