Jeju Shinhwa World gambling zone management plans to launch the casino in February. The South Korean press, commenting on the upcoming celebration, recalls: originally, Landing Entertainment intended to open the "World of Jeju Shinghwa" on December 18.
JSW's December launch was hampered by procedural issues. Government officials, Jeju Island authorities have agreed to move the casino out of the Hyatt Regency Hotel. However, the New Year holidays slowed down the consideration of the issue by South Korean parliamentarians. The new session, the casino management hopes, will make a positive decision. While the opening time remains uncertain - the date of the fateful discussion will be appointed by the deputies. However, government officials promise the promptness of the hearings.
Today's gambling zone in Jeju, devoid of the main component, is represented by several resort hotels, a theme park, shopping establishments, united by a complex of buildings. There is a conference room and other venues that do not provide special entertainment that require a South Korean license. Gambling halls ready for equipment installation are empty.
The casino, awaiting relocation, continues to operate in the Hyatt Regency hotel grounds. The interruption of gambling activity, which is inevitable when “moving”, will be minimal, the management promises. Tourists use the services of 16 slot machines, croupiers serve 28 gambling tables. Electronic games are offered to advanced users. Additional resources have already been ordered for moving the casino: 240 slot machines, 160 tables.
