In anticipation of the opening of a casino in Japan, many local residents began to enroll in casino schools. According to the Agence France Presse news agency, a record number of students who want to learn how to gamble are now recorded in Japanese casino schools. Casino school officials say the skyrocketing popularity of their casinos is due to the desire of the Japanese to find jobs in the wealthy casino industry.
The head of the Japanese government, Shinzo Abe, has high hopes for the integrated resorts, the opening of which became possible thanks to the recently adopted law allowing casinos to operate in the country. The Prime Minister is convinced that they will increase the volume of investments, which will ultimately have a positive effect on the national economy. In addition, new jobs will be created through the opening of the casino.
A number of experts estimate the Japanese gambling industry market at almost $ 16 billion. For comparison, the value of the Las Vegas market is 11 billion. However, the authoritative agency Fitch was less restrained in assessing the possibilities of the Japanese market. Agency analysts predict annual profit at $ 6 billion.
Japanese casino expert Toru Mihara suggests that even if only land-based establishments operate, the number of new jobs will reach tens of thousands. According to Mr. Mihara, along with gaming, the Japanese authorities are also obliged to create conditions for the development of a business that organizes exhibitions and conferences.
