Kursk parliamentarian proposes to toughen punishment for illegal gambling business

Kursk parliamentarians anxiously assessed all the measures taken to increase responsibility for the illegal development of the gambling business in Russia, which began to work just a couple of days ago, as unconvincing and poorly effective. As a result of this circumstance, on July 18, Olga Germanova, who is a representative of the State Duma from the Kursk region, notified the users of information on her personal page on the social network about the adoption of a bill to strengthen sanctions for the formation and formation of illegal services in the field of gambling. In the act under consideration, it is planned not only to increase financial penalties, but also criminal liability. Nevertheless, parliamentarians conclude that despite the tremendous work done, all the measures taken bypass many entrepreneurs in the gambling industry. And also a long period of analysis of this law, gave the opportunity for many leaders of illegal casinos to go into deep shadow.

According to the deputy of the Kursk city council, Dmitry Guliyev, who is known for his negative views on this problem, although the bans have been adopted, the prosperity of illegal casinos in Russia does not stop. At the same time, their size and volume allow their owners to uncontrollably involve young adolescents in gambling, which in the future leads to an increase in criminality among minors. And engaging in illegal gambling outside the permitted zones leads to quite significant financial losses. For these reasons, it simply becomes necessary to raise the issue of increasing responsibility for the listed acts.

At a time when Russian deputies are taking all measures to strengthen the fight against illegal casinos without appropriate licenses, Belarusian lawmakers are trying to legalize online gambling and a suitable document has already been submitted there for consideration.
