The head of state of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed the decree "On improving the legal regulation of the gambling business", where the age allowed for a visit to special gambling establishments has been increased from eighteen to twenty-one. This document allowed the country to carry out such practices as the formation, execution and implementation of gambling on the World Wide Web, through the ownership and maintenance of virtual gambling houses (online casinos), as reported by the presidential press center. It also became known that the specially authorized state authorities have adopted special conditions for licensing and taxation of the occupation in question, as well as outlined norms, rules and relevant provisions to it. According to the press bureau of the head of state, in order to guarantee to minimize the detrimental results from participation in online gambling entertainment for adolescents, the age of potential participants in these games, as well as fans of virtual casinos, has been increased to twenty-one years.
Also, for users and visitors of gambling establishments, a ban was introduced on the supply of other gamers with financial resources to ensure their participation in gambling. At the same time, the organizers of gambling entertainment will now always be required to equip gambling casinos with video surveillance systems that will be able to record all arriving players, as well as moments of payment of earned money to them, which will help prevent the outflow of funds from the country.
