Australian casino management is saddened by the declining flow of players. The reason for the decline is the US-China trade confrontation. Well-fed times are over, says Star Entertainment, it's time to change tactics.
Summing up the results of the past year, the Star management noted: the flow of tourists interested in Australian casinos, beauty, leisure, reached 8.3 million people. The Chinese segment is unacceptably meager - 1.3 million. The plan, which radically changes the situation, said the structure, has already been developed. The implementation of the main measures promises a tripling of the Chinese component by 2028. Statistics state that there are 650 thousand Chinese among the regular visitors to Australian casinos.
The implementation of the plan, Star stressed, has already begun. For example, payment terminals adapted for Alipay, China UnionPay have already been launched in Star Sydney. The installation of WeChat Pay has also been completed. The Chineseization of platforms for transactions under the money of the Celestial Empire should attract an additional contingent. The VIP segment will especially like the innovation, said casino marketers who polled Chinese tourists.
Planning to increase the gambling and tourist flow, the management elite of SI took care of the expansion of hotel complexes. The construction of the next one is being considered by the Australian department of New South Wales. The application from the casino was received last August. The designers are developing the documentation for the 61-storey hotel. The site is ready to provide Sydney.
